The counter-argument being that a cup run creates a good buzz, helps to develop a winning habit & provides a release from the grind of a relegation fight. Six of one & half a dozen of the other. Fact remains the FA Cup is the biggest competition that we have a chance of winning. |

Love the FA Cup and hope that we stay in it for as long as possible. The Holy Grail of football trophies. |

Spot on. Our players do seem down. Maybe not out but down. It is our responsibility as supporters and fans to get behind the players and encourage them as much as possible. We dont' ahve to accept sub standard performances or results. far from it but we MUST get behind the players. It's the only wayw e stand a chance. All people are doing is creating negativity and spreading doom if they tear the squad and manager to bits after every game. So we didn't beat Torquay. Big deal. On the grand scale of things, in our current position, at least we didn't lose. We kept a clean sheet when conceding goals would have been very easy by all accounts. We have too look at this game as a defeat avoided. We now have a chance to give them a seeing to at St Andrews next Tuesday. Blow the cobwebs out, score a few goals and give ourselves a lift. Overreactions are achieving nothing. Yes it was a poor performance but we should eb used ot them by now. We've seen so many this season. Get over it. Get behind the team and stop demanding a new manager FFS. |

Oh! I see!!! I travel all the way to Torquay, watch the biggest load of drivel ever, and it's all my fault that Blues are rubbish, I haven't been getting behind them enough apparantly. well let me say, I am sick of 'Getting behind them' and getting nothing in return. Someting has got to change down there, because I've just had about enough. We are force fed baloney, year in year out. We pay top whack for our tickets. We are no longer a 3rd div. club, paying 3rd div season ticket prices. The board are handing out 4 year contracts to a manager, that's done nothing for 3 years. We are hearing the same excuses every week. I've had enough. full stop. Understand k-bek, or whatever your name is. |

Opinions differ greatly from person to person. How anyone can say SB has achieved nothing in the last 3 seasons is beyond me. What club do you think you are watching? Promotion was a massive achievent. Staying up in our 1st season was an even bigger achievement. Finishing in the top 10 in our 2nd season was an even bigger achievement. Last season's 13th was a disapointment after finishing in the top 10 the previous season but it was still and achievement to be safe from relegation the whole season. This season, however, has been a disappointment from the start. We've had majour injuries to contend with coupled with the fact the board wouldn't push the boat out to get SB's 1st choices in the summer. Demanding a new manager is not going to stop the board putting spin on things. The time for moaning has passed. We all know, from the board to the fans, that things are not acceptable. Performances and results must improve and nobody wants it to continue. However, now is not the time to keep whinging about it. If we do not support the 11 players who start every game 100% from start to finish in the same way we did against Wigan and Man Utd we will have no chance of avoiding the drop. Nobody is saying we have to accept poor performances or crap results but slating players during games is not making anything better. Some peopel have don't it since August and what has it achieved? Nothing. I, for 1, do not support BCFC to see then win every game. Not saying I accept what we've been served up thiss eason, but won't demand a new manager after a 0-0 at Torquay either. The players need our support more than anything else right now. If we are to continue in league games the way we have started to perform recently support is the key. We will achieve nothing without it. |
